The challenge

The Conference & Incentive Travel (C&IT) awards are the definitive awards for B2B events, and we were approached by Brands at Work to help them create pitches for four separate awards: ‘Celebratory Event of the Year’, ‘Pharma & Healthcare Event of the Year’, ‘Conference of the Year’ and, most importantly, ‘Agency of the Year - UK’. 


We had to capture the experience of the events, the brilliant thinking behind it, and the expert delivery - all in a limited word count with a tight turnaround.

The solution

We profiled the previous winners to see what ticked the judges’ boxes. After figuring this out, we structured the pitches to create a narrative flow, which helped to recreate the first-hand spectacle of the events.

The writing

A sample from the ‘Agency of the Year - UK’ pitch: 

‘After opening our doors in 2010, our original client relationships have flourished and we’ve attracted many more. We believe it’s because of our attitude. We act as if we’re always in the ‘courting phase’ of the relationship, showing up with hunger, passion and commitment. But we also challenge clients. Using our creativity and curiosity to look at briefs, we flip ‘the way it’s always been done’ on its head.’


The results

Our client was delighted to win the trophy for ‘Agency of the Year - UK’, as well as having one finalist and two ‘high commendations’.
